Leo Park (b. 1980) is a Swedish artist based in Stockholm. His paintings interweave the visual languages of art history and popular culture, juxtaposing classical iconography with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. In his work, the body is not only a subject of representation but also a surface upon which lines, signs, inscriptions, and ornaments accumulate. Nudes, ornamental linework, and symbolic markings compress multiple temporalities and cultural references into a single image, lending his paintings a sensuous yet uncanny density.
